Original Diva

I recently stumbled across an article I remember reading some years ago. The headline blares provocatively: Doctor: I built myself a wife. A plastic surgeon took on a “dowdy” woman as his wife and then rebuilt her using his plastic surgery skills. Apparently, only after he put her through eight operations, did he finally “fall in love” with her.

At least he’s not a total hypocrite. He’s also done work on himself: “I inherited a big nose from my dad, so my business partner made me a new one. And I have Botox too.”

I just have to wonder how desperate you must be to marry a man who doesn’t love you for who you are, who then puts you through multiple surgeries to change you into who he wants you to be, and then finally, after all that work, he “falls in love” with your new, glamorous body.

What will happen when this woman ages, I wonder? Will she turn into Jocelyn Wildenstein? Or will her attentive doctor-husband find another “promising” young woman to mold into his ideal woman?
